DIY Painting?

Hello

I never got around to having the Mog painted last summer.I am considering doing it myself and have the following questions.

1 Is it that hard to produce a decent result

2 Are there any specific primers that I should use to cover the horrible orange colour it is now?

3 What spray gun should I buy?

Go to your nearest PPG dealer and buy everything from one place (and probably from one family of products like PPG Deltron): prep, primer, color, thinner and clear coat so that everything matches. That way, no disaster like crazing or failure to dry, or other catastrophies that could take hundreds of hours to solve.

Or, screw it all and get some rattle cans at Home Depot. Nothing in between, IMO.
