This is a job I have never had to do (did have to do a control arm bushing on my Audi), but now that I own a late model Merc will need to probably do this so on a curse scale from Crap to F*CK! where did this fall?

What are the symptoms of these going south? I just noticed a slight 'thump thump thump' coming from front right at slow speeds, I'm thinking this?
