I need the crank pulley, crank seal replaced on my 98 320. Has anyone attempted a DIY on this? I have changed the water pump, plugs, brakes, motor mounts etc.......I'm a little reluctant to try this. Local Indie shop wants $200 labor plus parts total $350.00

$150 for a seal?
$200 for labor is reasonable. It is not technically advanced job, but most likely require radiator removal, jacking up the car and huge wrenches to loosen the bolt.
I've been doing it in the past on the ramps, but the access was the biggest issue.

The Indie shop wants to replace the Pulley ($70) Pulley Bolt ($5) Crank Seal ($1.50) New Oil and filter ($70) + 200.00 labor. Honestly I think it might be worth it!
