Hey all,

I have not done this before. Need to leave for 2 weeks and park my 2009 s550 at the airport park & ride which does not have any available 110v power outlet.

Only thing, I've got a parasitic drain that I haven't fixed yet and been using battery maintainer daily.

My question is can I disconnect my battery and leave it as is for 2 weeks? Anyone done that before?

My model year has the battery in the engine bay and nothing in the trunk.

Thanks for any replies!

You probably could, but several considerations: 1) Be sure you have your mechanical key, and that it works, and keep it with you (i.e., DON'T accidentally lock it in the trunk!) 2) You'll probably have to reset many memory functions, such as seat positions and mirrors, and resynchronize others; you may lose COMAND settings; and you may have to take steps to get rid of some warning lights. See THIS.

You'd probably be better off taking a taxi.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I won't have access to the home as I'm Airbnb to a family with a rental car.

I just hope 2 weeks later I when I start the S, it doesn't give me problems.. That's all I'm hoping for. 🤞
