Hey-hey!!!,
I ask regarding an engine swap. A 300TD wagon, '85 vintage car, and a late '84 motor. The '84 does not have the inductive throttle position sensor on its injection pump or the temp sensor in the first position in the head casting. Will the boost enrichment control still work if I use the earlier pump? More importantly, is there any effect to the supply of vacuum to the transmission if it( the throttle sensor and temp gage ) are not connected? I have considered direct coupling the intake manifold to the enrichment control on the top of the injection pump. Has anybody done something like this? I consider this because it looks like two seperate systems, and when I'm finished I'd like to have installed a manual gearbox anyway.
