Seller pushed a not operational radio into the spot (where the original radio was removed) without wiring it in. A burned out fuse was in the fuse box suggesting it was simply an electrical problem. I should have spotted it. The car was a 1986. The radio was a 1995 two piece and only one piece was present.
Seller removed instrument cluster (pod) warning light bulbs. When bulbs were reinserted warning lights were on. I should have spotted it. When one puts the key in position 2 and not running, all the lights should light up. If they don't then something is not right.
The seller removed the fuse to eliminate an elecrical problem. The passenger seat switch had failed in the on position and the motor was grinding aginst the stop, making a nasty smell and running the battery down.
