Hmmm from how far away?I painted a set that looks great from 7 feet away. Use tape and be careful and slow.
Hi!Hmmm from how far away?
There is a special tool that covers up the shiny parts. It is no longer available at the dealer - so if you can find one it will be second hand and it will cost a fortune. I doubt if it would help with a refurbishment process - 90% of the work is in the preparation...
Well that's not the factory special tool - sniff sniff!Hi!
They'r readily available in germany, but not cheap: cb's Autoteile - Oldtimer Ersatz- und Austauschartikel :: Lackiersterne
Not a bad idea. I will most likely end up getting one of those since I am going to do it right when I paint mine. Thanks, Josh. I just plain missed that listing. I figure the part will cost about $110 US, perhaps extra for shipping. That's a bit pricey, but then again, I'm never going to find nice ones for sale (stress "nice" ones). Maybe I'll go into the hubcap/wheel cover painting business on the side after I get my Anthracite Gray caps done.
