Recently replaced my front and rear differential oil with Fuchs Titan Sintopoid 75W90 (GL5) Mercedes Gear Oil Fuchs Titan Sintopoid SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Meets Specifications: API GL-5 MIL-L-2105C/D (1 Liter) 600635718 - RM European Auto Parts

and everything seems normal although under MB approved list Fuchs Titan Sintopoid FE 75w85 is on the approved list under 235.7 specs ( don't understand why 75W90 is not).

Saw a thread mentioned the service manual call for 85W90: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w163-m-class/1533406-differential-fluid-w163-75w-90-85w.html

I might be doing little bit of towing next summer should I replace the F and R diff oil to something heavier weight like Amsoil 75W110 or even 75W140 http://www.amsoil.com/a/synthetic-gear-oil due to their viscosity closer to the original 85W90 dino oil and higher shear strength?
