Does anyone know there is a difference between US and EU outside tempsensors?

I'm asking because I have a US spec 1990 500SL (imported to Holland) and replaced the US (Fahrenheit readout) temp display in my instrument cluster for a EU (Celsius readout) one.

Now it shows a Fahrenheit value on a EU Celsius display.

I think that you can switch F to C by pushing the clock button center.

Thanks Aam, I tried, no results.

I find out your solution is used for IC diagnostic purposes only.

Further investigation confirms ( MBCluster.com Mercedes W140 Instrument Cluster Repair Homepage ) that I have to change the whole circuit board to a EU type in order to have a Celsius readout.

Pfff, that's a shame and expensive.
