Hi again guys,

Anybody got any access to diff ratios for various models of the 124?
I have a kit car based on the 260E and has big mad wheels as it is a Jeep type thingy.
Original ratio was 3.27 and it really struggled so I found a 3.46 which is much better.
However, having done a calculation re wheels/ tyres/diffs, I should be running about a 3.7.
I know there is a 3.68 out there and wonder what engine sizes would have it.
Getting a bit fed up trawling the breakers yards and reading the diff stamps as most are 3.07 or 3.27
Is the 190e types fitted with 124 diffs?

I lifted this from a post in 2/08. Hope it helps.

Various 124s over the years, at least in the U.S., came with 2.24, 2.65, 2.82, 2.87, 3.07 and 3.27 - all of which should interchange with your car.

The 3.68:1 ratio if I recall was from a Euro spec manual transmission diesel.

W124 E 220, 3.07 4 speed Auto, 3.67 5 speed Manual.
TE 220, 3.27 4 speed Auto, 3.92 5 speed Manual.
