diesel fuel additive

i just got a 1979 24d diesel , is it ok that i used a diesel fuel additive to clean its fuel lines & carb? the idel is a little bit rought

any recomendation or tips ?

The best cleaning you can do, is a purge. Search the site. Normally, no additives needed.

Agreed, new filters all around. If you do a purge, wait till after that.
