Am I crazy or is there such a thing as a diesel 404? Even better yet, one that can handle highway speeds? I want one BAD, can anyone help? I would just go for a 406, but I want to take it wheelin' and dont want an ass-puckerin' scarry adventure. Any advice would be great. thanks-jeff<br><br><hr size=7 width=75%><p>

Hi jeff,<p>There are plenty of Diesel 404´s but they are all conversions. You even get a book with detailled instructions for the conversion (german only). Most popular was the OM 617 engine (300D, 5 cyl., 88 bhp). With the right axle ratio and tires, such a mog can handle highway speeds no problem.<p>All the best - frank<br><br><hr size=7 width=75%><p>
