I'm leaking fuel in my 300SDL. Not tiny, apparently it does a siphon action and drips 24/7. 24 hours after the last running it's still dripping and you can see the small fuel filter 2/3rds fuel, pretty much normal level.

I'm getting advice to just delete it. Anybody done this? Looks like it would need some plumbing to pull off.

Oops, I way overthought this. Two of the lines on the valve are for taking fuel to and from the heater. The other becomes meaningless when you bypass the valve. Never mind ...
