I find it weird to understand why my ventilation switch does not start immediately when I go to any position from 1 to 4 but it has a delay of anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes until it starts.

Anyone had this issue?

The car is a 2000 ML55.

Thanks for your help!

The first thing you should do is, in the underhood fuse/relay box, remove relay K21 and substitute it with a similar relay in the fuse/relay box and see if that corrects the condition.

If not, then you should gain access to the blower motor and blower resistor by removing the cover and conduct the below resistance test with a digital multi-meter (elec. connector removed and resistor removed).
