I am back and forth between buying a 2020 E450 or a 2020 E53. I am not sure if the E53 with the acoustic comfort option is actually quieter than an E450 without that option. The news model E450s do not offer the option. While I would enjoy driving the AMG at times, like most old geezers I am mainly interested in a quiet and comfortable ride.

Does anyone have knowledge of the cabin noise levels in these two cars? If so, I would appreciate hearing from you!

Call MB USA and let them answer the question?
I had difficult questions to them and they would forward it to Stuttgart
Took about a week, but I got my answers.
Statistically factory E will be very quiet and I really have to step on my 2014 diesel to ever hear the engine.
During freeway cruising tire noise is the only 1 I can hear.
AMG are tuned cars. Low noise level in them is not priority.

I have no experience with 2020 models, but I was recently given a C63 AMG loaner while my car was in for service and I honestly couldn't wait to return that thing. The ride was as harsh as a frontier wagon and it was so LOUD that I was actually embarrassed to drive it.
