Just do it yourself. Dental floss or fishing wire and clean off with some goo gone.

dental floss, heat gun and goo gone is all you need. very easy to do and there are many videos on youtube.

Don't see why it would be just keep the letters/numbers safe. Put new 3M tape on the back and reapply when it is time to turn it in.

A lot of responders here say that debadging really cleans up the look of the back of the car. Why not go all the way and remove the Star emblem as well?

cause the star emblem isn't attached with simple adhesive... there are holes behind it. And it's part symmetry.

just black out the star if you dont like it. It balances the car and you would have to putty and paint the rear deck lid to hide the holes behind the star that holds it on
