Dealer just got me for $40 for 1 gallon of coolant. I'm going to buy Valvoline's Zerex G-05 next time.

Why did you buy it? That is a complete rip off and a half. Did they mix in gold flakes for the price or what? G-05 costs about $10.

Yep, that sounds pretty high. Some members on here have said one of the Zerex products is an acceptable substitute.

The Genuine MB stuff is $17 here in Richmond, VA. You're only an hour down the road, so come on down! Even with the price of gas now-a-days it will still be cheaper!

I was up against the wall - had to drive up to Pittsburg last night and coolant was low after I lost some during the "evil that lurks beneath the hood" replacement. Didn't have a chance to go to Carquest to pickup the $15 Zerex.

It was a grab your ankles situation.
