Dealer gave me wrong radio code?

Went to the dealer today, with the radio out. On the bottom it has a sticker with the following numbers:

Model CM2294

A003 8205 186

stamped in metal S/N AL 2294 R 10 46650

According to the service guy, he pulled the code based on the sticker number. He gave me 31122. Entered the code following manual directions (press SC after code entered), tried a couple of times until it locked.

Called again the dealer, and the same guy told me that nothing comes up for the S/N stamped in the bottom.

The radio is not original to the VIN

Any suggestions?
