Ok this 190 is a pain in the butt. I tightened the old three post temp sensor/fan switch and broke the top part. Got another and removed the plumbing in front of the sensor so could tighten with a wrench. Success. no leaks and no functional temp guage???? Any ideas? Is there a fuse or something that I could have blown other than those that appear in the fuse box? Can I test it some how?

If the sensor is good then it is the wire. Follow it and see if it cracked or broke somewhere in the harness.
