Gone for a couple days. Come home and fire up 560SEL. No instruments! I assume a blown fuse but what is first thought that comes to YOUR mind. I am unable to get at the car for a few days (recovering) so thought I'd ask you guys before I go under hood.
Noticed gas gauge read empty and I know I just filled it! Then I see oil pressure at zero. Then not tach dead. Ha ha Ha. All gone!
This is getting to be a real PITA fellas.

1 Change your fuses.-easy
2 Try adding an extra ground from the cluster body.- quite easy
3 Could be ignition switch issue.-not so easy.

Good luck

Or the big plug on the back of the instrument cluster has worked itself loose. Couple of pieces of coat hangers with 1/4" bent at right angles on an end and you can check it in five minutes.

Okay fellas, I found #2 and #6 blown and now all insturments are back to normal. But it DOES make one wonder why those fuses, which are less than a year old, would just blow?
Is my Grey Ghost possessed? Is there a demon lurking beneath that beautiful grey leather and burled walnut? Did somebody put a Lucas Electric curse on my lovely limo?*
*If you've owned a Jag, Rover,Triump,Land Rover....you know about Lucas Electrics! Ha!
Anyway, problem solved. For now.

Well that's English electrics, not German electrics! And yeah, I've had Jag's and MG's and they are bad....

Use good brass/copper ceramic fuses, not the silver alloy and plastic ones.If you are already then maybe you have an inconsistent short.
