Hello from Australia, I would like to fit DRL's to my CLK280, has anyone done this? any recommendations? Would it be possible to convert the fog lights (useless here, never get fog) to LED and have them wired so they come on when running?

thanks, John

Thanks for that, a lot to consider. Don't want the hassle of resister problems etc...I'll talk to a few sparkys and see what they have to say. cheers, John

If you want them on always, then don't wire them to the fog light circuit. Instead, wire them to something controlled by the ignition switch. If you do that and remove the fog lights, the worst thing that will happen is that you'll get a temporary "bulb out" message on the cluster if you accidentally switch on the fog lights.

Rudeney has the right idea. Since you are using LED's their low amp draw will not affect a ign switched circuit. Just be sure to use an in line fuse for the lights.
