You guessed it: not working, including the climate control lights. Given climate control lights are also affected is there anything I should look at before committing to pulling the instrument clusterf***? I checked fuses and the rotary headlight switch, all seem fine. thx, -v

Its your rheostat. Try turning the knob that resets the trip meter. If that makes the lights work again, take the cluster out and give it some good cleaning. They get corroded over the years and just did mine a month ago and now it works :grin

Thanks! Now I remember I had the same thing on my last 300D and ended up shorting the rheostat so as to not have to deal with it. It's been 5 years since then and it must have slipped from my memory.
