Hi, during damp weather conditions the '87 260E loses power. It starts and runs fine until the engine begins to warm up a bit. Then it loses power. I step on the gas pedal and no response. If I'm not careful it will kill. This past winter it would happen sometimes, and I thought it was cold weather related. But now that it has warmed up, whenever it get rainy and damp, I have this problem. Any thoughts? Thanks..

Ignition wires...I'll give it try. My car loves it when throw parts at it. It's kind of a little game we play.
Hey thanks much.

Many years ago I had a Gran Prix that had similar symptoms, cold and wet, it ran fine, after it warmed up, it died. I fixed it by changing the coil and plug wires.

Good Luck
