So the car is up in the air, and the tie rods are off, and the bolts are out, and the only thing holding the old rack in place is the steering coupler and power steering hoses - and I can't finish it.

Last Friday (a week ago) I fell and cracked two ribs. They've been feeling a lot better - I could take a deep breath again - but laying on the concrete floor of the garage and moving my arms around over my head are still too much for me. I took a vicodin, and I'm hoping it kicks in soon enough that I can get this wrapped up before I have to start on other projects. Maybe if I hadn't taken that detour when I saw the whole freaking transmission was hanging by one bolt because someone didn't bother putting two nuts on....

But I can't say anything, because this car is from family. Well, I can't say anything too bad, anyway.

I assume this is the Bimmer you're referring to...
Yeah, it's the other car. My MB is stored 15 miles away, in little sister's garage, until this thing is running 100%. I only have room in the garage for one project at a time, because the other half is filled with furniture from what used to be the guest room.

Which of course begs the question: What happened to the guest room?

Good luck with her!

It became Joel and Katherine's bedroom. They needed someplace to stay.

Good luck with her!
I'm calling it a day, and will start again tomorrow. Right now it feels like someone is stabbing me in the side with a hot knife.

I feel your pain. Really. I flipped a four wheeler rounding up cattle and broke a few ribs. Didn't hurt right away but that was probably the cuncussion that didn't let the pain signal through. Hard to sleep. Hard to breathe. A cough or sneeze will send you to your knees.

Get your hands on some of those brownies, Scott.

I saw those bring people to their knees as well.

But in a good way.

Might not fix the problem....but will help you forget it.

I can tell you this, if you get a kidney stone, you won't have any rib pains at all.

The bonus is this: you can then speak knowledgeably about how much it hurts to have a baby, ask me how I know...

Be patient, you'll get through it...

Damn Straight!

Good Luck on recovery. Stay as active as you can, otherwise, you'll be longer in recovering.
