Is any one has the same this issue, I just installed the head on 300e 1989,after tightened all the bolts noticed that the bottom of the head right edge is a little stiking out and miss align with the cyclinder with about 1mm. also notice that the timing guide on the tensioner side rubbing on the side of the head and could not install the timing tensioner to fit on the slat on the timing chain tensioner.should i remove the head again and re-check or it is normal for this miss align.

The head gasket does protrude by a few mm, or at least on my Victor-Reinz it did.
