Their reply (damn, that was fast!):

Dear Paul,

Thank you for letting us know. We are always on the lookout for new suppliers of quality parts. We don't currently have any that are able to supply those CV parts, but once we do we will get them added to the catalog. I don't have anyway to automatically email you once this happens. However, if you sign up for the RSS feed for your vehicle we will notify you as new parts become available. You can do this by simply clicking on the orange RSS button just to the right of the cars engine size in our catalog.

Thank you,

Andrew S.

Dear RockAuto,

I’ve emailed you before with info on common issues with model years 2006-2011 Mercedes B-Class (Mercedes chassis code W245) which show up in the Benzworld (W245 B-Class - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum) forum. I’ve noticed someone actually paid attention, as you now list Starter motors, which are a common problem that I pointed out in a previous email to you.

Another item you may wish to source out are drive axles and/or CV joints, which seem to come with CV joint boots from factory which are too brittle and crack easily. I know some of your better axles come with silicone boots. If you do find a supplier for our “B’s” and decide to add to the catalog, please let me/us know.

Please note that the drive axles between the B200 and B200T (turbo) may be different.
Can anyone tell me the CV joint for my 2007 B200 Turbo W245 VIN WDD2452342J270462 7 speed CVT??
Preferably aftermarket...or not the stealer price.

Kiwi

pfsantos (Paulo) used to recommend RockAuto in the US. They carried a lot of MB B W245 Class parts. You can also try Germanparts.ca. here in Canada.
Let us know what you find out.

Hi Devours - it's been a long time!

Just got an email saying I've been quoted, lol! Figured why not sign back in, say hello and contribute!

Kiwi - I only see stock if you have a CVT:

Not sure if it ends up being worth after shipping to New Zealand. Anyway check it out.

Other go to place for me for Benz parts nowadays is FCP Euro (they're in the States). They have an excellent warranty, even covering some wear items for a lifetime including brakes! Pretty crazy.

In the market for a blower fan for my W212. Been chirping off and on, especially in the winter. But last week it didn't come on a few times. Maybe a story for another time!

RockAuto don't have CVs just full driveshafts and only one side..Will try your Canadian suggestion...
Also the turbo B200 with cvt is a different cv than the non turbo... not sure if turbo cvt and turbo manual are the same, any guru's shed light on that?

Your Canadian suggestion doesn't have B200 as a choice in the "vehicle selection" so I'm going to try and email them.... any other suggestions please let me know 🙂

Just to clarify, FCP Euro are U.S. based. I just remembered that yes, they don't show listings for a B, because it wasn't sold in the States. Let us know what they say via email.

I completely missed that you were just looking for the joints. I always go with the whole axle just for simplicity of installation, and worry any aftermarket joints may not fit the original axle. Not sure if my worry is justified.

Here's a link to a parts database I just found - all the old ones I used to use I can't find:
General:
With your VIN, front axle section:

Just make sure you check my work. If you're confident you have the right part number, then a google search will maybe give you more options. Good luck.

Hi Kiwi,

Just saw your reply. That list should show both right and left, inner and outer. I would not assume same or different, go by part number.

edit: Looked at the diagram again. It's not very clear. Does show both left and right driveaxles, but as far as joints, "200" looks just like a boot kit for the left side, whereas "210" on the right side shows the joint (although the description shows "RS Boot". "10" is the whole left axle, "50" is the whole right axle. Pictures usually are oriented with the car driving forward to the left. But based on the pic and all the notes in the descriptions I wouldn't be 100% confident ordering based on this. My advice, go to the dealer, ask for a quote on the correct part, then use the part number from the quote. Some dealers are smart and black out the part number though. :)
