I read on another forum somewhere about someone who wanted to keep the stock suspension stiffness so they cut their springs to lower their C-32 instead of buying a new set of Eibachs for a lowsy $250. Do the after market lowering springs really feel stiffer and if so is that a bad or good thing? Cutting the springs to me seems like a cheesy way to be lowering your $50k sportscar. Is this a normal procedure?

Springs should never be cut. I believe that both Eibach and H&R have two lines of springs. One of them is stiffer, and on of them is close to stock.
