Well, if you can cut them straight and want to do it 'right', you can cut them and then get the correct die and run down the lug to clean up the threads. Personally, I'd rather buy the correct lugs than mess around cutting all of them.
For others information, when ever you cut a bolt, use two nuts right next to each other and cut near the face of one so that both nuts will have to come off the cut side of the bolt. This greatly eases the bolt or next nut threading, and reduces the chances you'll need a tap and die set.[8D]
