I just drove my tire into a curb and put a significant scratch on the rim. The rim part number is 246-401-08-00-64-7X4. Does anyone know what silver paint color might best match the rim. I phoned MB and they said that they don't have a touchup kit for rims which surprised me.

Remember that there is also a clear coat over the silver on each wheel. Can you polish the clear first and see if it's deeper?

Maybe you will be lucky and only have to polish the clear coat...or touch up with a clear coat.

Thanks for the comment. Yes I assumed that there is a clear coat on the wheel and that the large smudge may polish out. Unfortunately there is also some rim chewed up on the edge. I believe it cuts down to the alloy. I won't do anything until the spring. I've successfully repaired a curb rash rim on my M3. It took quite a bit of time but BMW sold a rim repair kit with colour and clear coat bottles. That made colour matching a non-issue.
