cup holders?

Being able to fully drive with one hand for a long time (granted that the car is auto). If it's manual... you can solve the problem by not drinking in the car! There are cupholders for these cars that you can buy now... but I don't like the idea of drilling holes in the door's interior panel, or loosing the ability to have the armrest down when you have a cup in the holder. I want to have the cup in my right hand while resting my right arm on the arm rest. So the aftermarket drink holders aren't for me!

I'm bringing this topic back from the dead...

I can't go much longer without a cup holder of some sort. I'm thinking pretty seriously about the double flat one here:

It's like $100 after shipping, but i'm tired of having my coffees spill in the console under the armrest. Speaking of, i'm thinking i might still be able to have the armrest down with this installed.

Anybody have experience with this company or a better company? Any other thoughts?

I bought the double flat one last year, finished with beige MB tex. It works OK... the URL picture would suggest the armrest could be down when you are using the cupholder ---> not true.
Installed another holder (US 3.50, from Target) for big water bottles (quite necessary in Southern California) just behind the front seats. Works out as well.

Hardware store. The two pieces are black plastic PVC drain pipe flanges in the plumbing department. Depending on how far back in the console you want to place them, you may have to trim the bottoms of the rear one with a Dremel or razor saw to fit the console opening, but it will not affect the capacity of the holder. Epoxy the flanges to a piece of plexiglass that is cut to fit the console as a base. I added some wood trim to the rims, but that's optional. They will hold everything from a water bottle, travel coffee cup or a "Big Gulp" without tipping. The nice thing about them is that with they will also hold cell phones, gas receipts, etc. if you're not thirsty and aren't permanently stuck in the car.
