If anyone is interested here are some pictures of my Cubanite silver SLK350 with chrome fins, chrome side fins, chrome headlight surrounds, front and rear spoiler lips & front chrome indicator bulbs.

I also have an AMG spoiler and a vario roof module on order with www.r171.co.uk (if it ever arrives!).

Have also changed the aircon to the thermotronic version and had the comand unlocked (so it works while driving) and changed DVD to multiregion and fitted front and side luggage nets in the boot

I am interested in the and fitted front and side luggage nets in the boot...how are they attached?

I looked and it wasn't obvious where the anchoring points were...[?]

The luggage nets come with some self tapping screws and hooks that screw into the plastic facia at the side of the boot. The otehr end then hooks onto a small clip near the roof mechanism. Easy to fit

Thanks Andy! makes sense and clears up the mystery. I guess I was used to anchor points like in my M Class...[][][]

Andy, the side chrome fins - are they simply stick on and do they come with a template to ensure they are put in the correct place?

Also, where did you get the front spoiler lips from?

Side vents are just stick on and yes they come with a template showing you where to stick them. I bought them off ebay. He still sells them on item no 7955045897

Front spoiler lips were from Mercedes but you can buy them on ebay item no 7955046388. Cost about the same as from Mercedes

Hi Andy by the way, was there much of a saving by ordering the AMG spoiler from R171 compared to UK main dealer? I am thinking about getting one but have yet to ask for a price from MB.
