I own a 1986 300e, can someone tell me where to locate this sensor on my vehicle. Thank you

Found it in front of engine, other EZL sensor is at the rear of engine. My question to anyone is
what is the easiest way to R&R this part. Please keep in mind I have a 86 300e. What tool(s) neccessary for removal and any websites that may have a pictorial of procedure. And also does anything have to be adjusted afterward or just plug & play. Thanks

PS: Reason tough find was couldnt ID top plug in, found it underneath the X 11

Although I have an '88 your sensor should be in the same spot. It plugs into the electronic module on the driver's fender and the sensor itself is located below and behind the oil filter. Its mounted on (relatively) the top of the motor at the flywheel end.

Thanks for the info, actually my concern is the crankshaft position sensor R&R. The one you refer to is the reference sensor I know of that one already. This one connects from the X-11 connector
to the front of the engine. Just wondering what an easy way is to remove and replace and what tool(s) are necessary, thanks again

I own a 1994 e320. Can someone PLEASE tell me where to locate the sensor?
If you're facing the motor, the crank sensor is located at approximately the 1 o'clock position on top of the bell housing, more or less directly below the oil filter.

There are several threads in the archives about r/r of the crank sensor. Using the forum search function will pull them up for your review.

Good luck
