so basically i own a us spec c 320 2002 manufactured in germany....love this merc class ....i also have us spec E320 mod 95

my questions:
my c is fully loaded w navi and integrated phone....but the problem is that the phone wont work in this region(here we use gsm )...so could i swap the integrated phone from US to European spec(since they use GSM).....or coud i just make it work...what s the procedure for this?

i always press lock or unlock button for more than 5 sec .....sometimes all windows open ....sometimes no.....although i resynshronised my key...so whats the problem?????

i tested the auto light switch ,and it always enables the low beam and parking light ....it s not affected with the ambient light as instructed in the owner manual..so what s the problem?

I can't answer the first two, but as to the lights, mine does the same thing. I think what you are seeing may be the DRL's.

Talk to your local dealership about the phone system. It should be just a software upgrade. I would doubt any need hardware is required. The automatic window up/down with key fob is a common problem on many Mercedes. My previous 02' Sportcoupe almost never worked. The C32 is intermittent... My best guess is the door handle sensor goes bad over time. Looking at the sensor cover it appears faded. That may block the inferred signal. Do your interior lights illuminate all the time when opening door? If so the light sensor is probably bad, and thus your automatic feature is not working.

so what do u mean by the interior light always illuminate when the doors are open?????is it affected w the ambient light????

do u think its only a software update for the integrated phone??
