guys please let me know which engine + trans i should put in my 1977 w123 Coupe (I would prefer modern) i will consider all suggestions
I bought this one from a friend, no engine or transmission but it did not matter because I was planning on putting modern engine anyway so I can use it for cruising on weekends! check the link below😉

I recommend you to keep it original, it will be much easier to put an engine destined for a W123 than getting involved in a swap that can complicate very easy and will be more expensive.

W123s were so good back in the day, than even after 40 years they are still competent with their original technology. Any engine or transmission available back in the day will propel that car reliably with the benefit that those drive trains are bulletproof and easy to mend since there aren’t electronics involved that require expensive computers to do simple things like programing a new component.

Take a look to the VIN to see what engine was originally in there and look for a replacement. Original is always better in a W123.
