Would really appreciate it - buying it, but it may have a couple of "gaps" in background I am suspicious of ....

For Fords try this in addition to Autocheck and CARFAX.

Stephenson,

Go to a Ford dealer's service or parts department and see if they will run you a free "OASIS" report on the Ford truck.


As I recall, the OASIS report gives a history of warranty recalls for the vehicle model in question and also, a history of warranty related services that were performed on the vehicle you are looking at.


Note: I have been hearing lately also, that Autocheck is actually better and more accurate than CARFAX now.

Autocheck is great. I've used it before. It's around $15 for one car.
