Evosport was taking for-freakin-ever to make those painted bumper lenses, I went to the dealer and bought a pair, had my body shop paint it...total cost: $65...AND I got it in 4 days! Not no 3 week wait!

I can't wait to install this grill...I will wait a week to let the paint fully dry and get tough. The grille is painted with flex and black primer so 1) it won't chip as easily and 2) if it does, black primer will show.

=)

Why did it crack? It would crack if he didn't use urethane paint that flexes...

The frame of the grille is ABS/urethane, which flexes. If he used a regular paint, of course the paint would crack...just like if you use regular paint on a bumper/body kit that is urethane.

That's why my body shop added flex and used paint for urethane material.

If that cracks, how does MB manage to not let the horizontal lines not crack with their paint?
