coolant hose

Thanks for replying, Anziani, but my question was where does the "center" hose on the tee go and to what does it attach? It seems it goes downward in front of the engine???

Thanks, Anziani, for looking into this. I'm perplexed by this hose "thing," as I can't see where it goes (except toward the bottom of the engine). Frankly, I'm too old (82) to get under the car and look, so I may have to wait to find out until I take the car to have the tee "thing" and hoses at the back of the engine replaced (that will be soon. since I definitely don't want a problem to happen back there).

I must correct myself. That "center hose" doesn't go toward the bottom of the engine; it goes to a radiator connection (upper rad, passenger side), just as Steve said. Not easy to get to, but doable for sure.
