Hey gang,

Happy Sunday.

Would someone more familiar with the underhood of this truck than me be able to tell me where this hose SHOULD be going if it wasn't frayed and missing a foot's length? Ha

It's supposed to free hang.....Put it back were you found it hanging.......I can see you have overfilled the coolant.... The reservoir will "discharge" the extra coolant through this pipe.

PS. You are not doing a favour to the car by overfilling the coolant.

Car was running, so the level is high. On cold, it's right at the line.

In this link, what is this line connecting to (see part labeled 81, but doesn't say what it is)

Yep. The problem is the pipe was touching the exhaust & got burned out.
I think the original owners pull the pipe out & don't position it back correctly & so the pipe touches the exhaust & gets barbequed.......
