Hi I'd like to change my coolant and my question was is it possible to use a siphon or a mityvac to drain all the coolant out without unscrewing the cap underneath? When draining I would put the siphon in the coolant expansion tank? Thank you very much- jster

I don't think you'll be able to get a hose through to the bottom of the tank. Draining from te bottom is fairly easy.

Yeah, no idea why you'd want to vacuum it out, remove the bottom cover, drive onto some ramps, put a drain pan down there, and open the red petcock.
It will all drain out. Hardest part is pulling the bottom cover.
Use Mercedes or Xerex G05 coolant 50/50.

Said with tongue in cheek I assume! :) Removing the cover is easy, of course. And if you don't have ramps, use a floor jack on the central jack point (the big rubber block protruding from the bottom engine cover) and then support the car with jack stands on the side jack points, slide the floor jack out, and then remove the cover.

It's the hardest part of changing the coolant, ie an easy job.
Though I never relish crawling under the car and removing those panels.
I recently replaced both with new, and all new clips and screws, since it kept
falling off and hence, got holes ground in it. Hence new.

Engine drain bolt?

Is there an engine drain bolt and is one gallon concentrate (not pre-mix) enough for the C240? of course I plan to mix with distilled water. Thanks.
