Converting to Manual Transmission-69'280SEC

Would it be feasible to convert this car to a 4-speed manual given the market value of the car. Currently has leaky 4-speed auto with floor shift. I have all the parts from '69 280SE sedan with manual floor shifter which I assume would fit? Would resale value, performance and fuel economy improve significantly? Any help is appreciated.
