Not really sure why you'd bother (looking at the posts in the thread it might be an armored W140 so it's much cheaper to update than buy a W221 guard) but I'm always impressed to see what can be done with a little body work however it still looks like a mashed up W140 from the side profile.

Wow, nice work. You're right, it's probably an armored model. You can sort of tell by looking at the windshield.

Wow! Now that's cool...

The front end looks a bit weird though, back looks great. I think i can speak for most when I say we W140 owners would probably all love to have a W221...

But I wouldn't modify my W140 like that. It has a style of it's own.

It would proabably cost almost asmuch as to get a early w221. To do this conversion but I think it´s cool w221 amg is a dream car. And if you could do this relatively cheap and do a good job I say nicely done :)

Weird, I actually [somewhat] like it

Though the boxy w140 makes the side look odd. Maybe the w220 would've looked better

It would have just been cheaper to sell the W140 and get a W211. That is stupid.

Like I said before I think that it was because it was a W140 guard and the cost of a new W221 guard is huge relative to a facelift. Also labour is pretty cheap in some countries in the Middle East for this kind of thing. But I still don't see the point.

I also don't see a point...

The way I see it, why not just be chauffeured around in a nice elegant W140, while everybody else is using the brand new W221's. It would be different.

And, the reality of it is that the W140 even by todays standards, has more presence to it than even the most expensive W221.

There could be a row of W221 guards lined up ... *yawn* ... but when a shimmering black W140 pulls up, i bet you'd get more attention. It's very "presidential".

You are Spot on "mgill85258" , around here ( my Suburb ) there is a W221 in Silver a W220 also in Silver and mine ,wich also is Blueish/Silver/Grey ( weird Colour) but nice ,when we all clash together on the Road i look at them and they look at me ,just that i dont make it so noticable ,the Car does that on its own , let them look at me ( lol ) ,after all we are the superior race then them " Lol again ".
The funny thing is they Brake at Speedhumps ,i dont ,i get very close to them.
The 140 conversion does look good tou , i have to admit , it surprised me that it is even Possible to do ,well i guess Money does everything these Days .

Ciao:thumbsup:
