Hi,

Anyone know where I can get the control valve that's located on the throttle body. It's the small plastic piece that has 3 vacuum lines attached. Sort of beige in color. I believe the Mercedes part number is A 003 997 00 36.

Thanks in advance for any assistance that is offered.

Best Regards,

Todd

That is the 3-2 valve. Parts.com is your friend. Or Autohauz AZ.

Thanks Chadahar! I'll give them a try. I was actually going to try and fine one at the local SY but since this is a Euro model, not sure how lucky I'd be...

Like Charlie said, Parts.com. They are a real MB dealership. Mercedes Benz of Naperville, Illinois.

Best to buy a new one . Since you are "In There", replace the throttle body gasket and the Throttle Position Sensor while you are there. Keeps from having to "Go Back In", in the near future. How is the Boot on the Air body/Fuel Distributor assy? and that god awful clinch ring that hold the boot to the throttle body? I'd replace all the Vacuum lines down there too and the connectors "While I Was There."

Hey Chadahar, thanks again for the infor. Just ordered one from autohauz....couldn't beat the $22.00 cost...

Will still probably hit the wrecking yard though...it's the male playground of choice for me....there and Home Depot of course...

Have a great weekend....

Best Regards,

Todd

Todd, Yeah I hit the yards frequently also. As you can see from my info I have a 1984 Euro 500SEC as well. also have a 1986 Euro 500SEC.
Good luck with your JY search. The One at Tuxford and Telfair, Aadlen Bros U-Pull_It and the Octopus yards are pretty good ones. Several others around LA.

Hey Chadahar, that's what I did. And yes, the plan is to replace all of the vacuum hoses, lines etc as I'm sure 99% of them are original to the vehicle. Will also replace belts and inspect the hoses for replacement as well....wish me luck...
