Ok, I admit it.

Today, I helped my long-suffering but dear ex-wife to buy a Brand-new Toyota from our local main Dealership (her trusty Auris is now 15 years old). After viewing & driving the latest petrol / electric Hybrid Auris range etc I, too, was impressed by their Hi-tech Gadgetry & Sophistication. No-one does Build Quality & Reliability like Toyota? (sorry W220 Fans).

And knowing about the legendary reliability of Toyotas I thought: ‘Well.. maybe it’s time for me to change cars too?’ But.. a Brand-new Top Spec Hybrid Toyota costs £35k+ in the UK and is outside of my budget. (I’m an impoverished Old-age Pensioner - please get the sad Violins ready 😢💔).

But then….(!:unsure:) I noticed a ‘cheap’ but attractive & still stylish 18 year-old Diesel model looking lonely in a far corner of the Dealer’s car park and immediately thought: THAT’s THE ONE FOR ME!’💗. It had EVERYTHING I want in a car: Impressive Performance & Fuel Economy, Comfort, Interior design / layout / appointments / space etc. So I took it home with me.🏎🕺.

Out of Respect for you loyal W220 owners & enthusiasts on this forum I won’t go into the details of my ‘new’ car: only a couple of clues about it.. But it was undoubtedly the BEST car at my local Toyota dealership today🥇 (out of approx 100 there, regardless of price, spec & & age) and I'm sure I drove home with an absolute Bargain 💲.

Enough said? ;)

Happy Days & keep smiling on your W220 Journey too (y)

Mark B.

I see.......

Well, fortunately is isn't one of those CDI models, because I know that you would never be so inconsiderate as to flaunt the availability of Diesel W220's in the UK when we have none over here. You would not do this, because you are an upstanding gentleman, and upstanding gentleman do not do such things to their American friends.
