Little help would be appreciated...

I was reseting my ADS light with Pins 1/9/16 while I was in the process of doing that I heard a beeping tone in the car and noticed that the seatbelt light would not go out after attempting the reset, I also noticed that there is no power now to the soft top controller,
rollbar controller, turn signals and windows !!

When I start the car I now get a steady beeping which sounds like a busy signal all while the Seatbelt light flashes and stays steady?

Thank you in advance!!

henryt111 I would suggest to us the ESP/ASR resetting method that is with the engine running turn the steering wheel lock to lock. I have no idea if it will work but if you are luck enough the ADS reset is the same that the ASR/ESP one.

Fingers crossed here.

Cheers.

Msbarsi... Thank you! I did try that several times ...but my ADS light came on due to low fluid state in the Resivore tank.... I think once you get a fault it has to be reset via the diagnostic connector in the Engine compartment.

Since my sl is pre-1995 there is no OBDII connector and I believe I need to reset it using Pins 1 - 9 - 16 but I need to know what I need to do in order start the computer to pulse out the error code?

Thanks!

Damn henryt111 I'm sorry it didn't work but a this point I think your quicker solution is, if you have a dealer close to you, to sweet talk the guys there into resetting your error code for you for free with the Star computer since it's a 5 minutes job.

Fingers crossed still.

Cheers.

Take a paper clip or wire and short socket #9 to socket #1 (or chassis ground) for 2-4 seconds. After a moment socket #9 will indicate a code with a pulsing voltage that you can see with an LED, test light, voltmeter, etc.

Bob Terry to the rescue!

That did the trick!! once I got it to pulse ...I held it for 10 sec i heard a click and presto the ADS light went out ...and the ride is nice and smooth again...relatively speaking ...

Can't thank everyone enough.... this saved me 160$ in diad costs at the stealership!!

Thanks again !
