I'd like to compile a collection of the various component and relative location pics we already have and will certainly continue to generate here at BW107. Add 'em as you find them, folks!

Behind the dash of Roncallo's 560SL

"The (hazard)flasher is in the attached picture just below the wiper linkage. To get at it you don't have to remove the instrument cluster. Just remove the lower kick panel and knee bolster. Reach up and replace it by feel. If its working (usually not the case if your looking for it) turn the flashers on and it will be easy to locate."

I think you want these. the first two are labeled. DSCF0016 is the OVP relay (red) and the courtesy light (timer relay silver).DSCF0022 is the Cruise control amplifier left and windshield wiper relay right. DSCF0026 is a picture of the windshield wiper motor, which is easily accessible from the bottom with the foot cover removed and heater duct removed.

Thanks for posting those, John.
Air conditioning evaporator coil air box drains that exit on either side of the transmission and cause floorboard flooding when plugged.

Where do they go?
And you can point out that the heater blower motor is mounted in there. How many times has that question been asked?

These are the drain tube outlets for the blower motor compartment on the firewall and the heater/evaporator box under the dash. They are located in the transmission tunnel. Front are blower motor. Rear are heater/evaporator.

This picture is a 1972 R107. Later models have four drains on the heater box. Total of six drains.

Fiber Optic Loom '78 450SL

The fan-shaped fiber optic loom for the dashboard switch lighting is on the back of the ACCII control panel in the console. One lead will go to each switch. On some cars, the loom (or spider) is located toward the firewall, behind the A/C controls. One bulb lights all of the fiber optics. Often, especially if the radio has been replaced, the fiber optic leads are pulled out of the dashboard switches and may be found laying behind the A/C control panel. In the photo below, one F/O lead is snapped into place, and the remaining slots are vacant for illustration.

A photo of the "spider" style F/O connection on the firewall is at http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c107-sl-slc-class/1569615-need-help.html#post4572460
