Would a grille from a 1985 300e fit on a 1989 300e? I found a good deal online to replace mine, and I need to know if it will asap! Thanks guys/girls. :D

Where have you been hiding???

The 124 wasn't imported into the USA until the 1986 model year. If you found a 1985 300 locally I'm afraid it is probably a 123 chassis car and totally different.

If you found a gray market 124 the grill will work for sure. The grill didn't change for years. 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, and even a year or two later are exactly the same.

Thank you!
Not hiding, Minty is running so well. I haven't had to come on here! I emailed the guy to double-check and see if it wasn't a 1986, or if is indeed A 123 chasis. The moron that sold me this car, bought some crappy grille that pitted and rusted out on me over this winter. I had no clue it wasn't a OEM part. So, I am looking for a really cheap grille to replace it.

There are a number of grills/grill inserts available on ebay. A couple of online sources I use are autohausaz.com, autopartsplace.com and *****************

Look around and good luck,

Jayare
