I bought my 09 E350 about 4 years ago. How can I check if my command needs updating or not?

 

You have a different COMAND in a 2009. This update is for the previous gen COMAND systems.

 

I can't check it either. I have 08 E350 W211. I tried MUTE+END+SERV and also SERV -> Lang -> Back ->END+"upper-left arrow"+AUDIO, but nothing happens. Is there a way to see the current COMAND firmware version without STAR? Thanks.

You will need to find someone with DAS to identify/apply correct update. Not sure what the update changes or improves upon.

Unfortunately I have no way of burning either CD or DVD, so I was hoping to work out something with someone that might be able to help… Someone that knows what they’re doing and has actually burned them correctly… Regarding the Nav version, with W211 what is the most current usable version??? I see mention now of v19, v20 and v21… will those work on an E350? Thanks in advance!

 

There are several newer versions since v16. I have either v18 or v19 on my S550 and the v20 is available....waiting for v 21, which I hope is out soon. Don't know any resources for free versions of the latest updates, though. The latest I found on ebay for $160.

 

I know the v20 version is out as I received an offer from MBZ to come to the dealer and have the update installed for ONLY $349. v21 may be out later in this year, but at this point, they are still selling v20, which does not have a lot more than v19. I dont know for sure if it will fit the 350, but I think it should as the system is the same.

Hi, What settings are you trying when writing? Tried DVD-R and DVD+R Verbatim, ASUS DVD Writer, ImgBurn, 4x is the minimum that it supports to write. Never recognizes any DVD. What should I change?
