Bonjour, je m’inscrit pour vous remercier et vous dire ce que j’ai fait pour obtenir mon HW jusqu’au 09/29.
J’ai essayé avec le lien de publication et cela n’a pas fonctionné. J’ai cherché sur le net et j’ai trouvé une image disc.
J’ai fait une copie et j’ai modifié les infos comme expliqué dans le post. J’ai gravé un CD avec mes infos et je l’a inséré dans le Comand.
J’ai seulement mis à jours HU25 et ok pour update GPS

Download this and put on your SD card, enter the secret menu and try to update firmware.

This is how the content of your SD card should look like.

When downloading, right click, then choose download as a zip-> then extract and copy the files onto the SD card

PS: If you to successfully update the firmware you wont be able to use your head unit ( it will shut off after powering on because you are running maps and stuff that don't support the newer firmware) After this clone the HDD of your head unit with new maps.

For everyone else DO NOT USE THE .iso image of the firmware if if just contains the HU25 folder, the HWZGS number determines other equipment that your car has and it works in conjunction with HU25. ( so you dont break something- it is Safer)

AND DO NOT just put your numbers into CD_info - The configuration comes from the auto generated cd_info data. - Certain HWZGS fall under several same presets. ( so you dont break something- Safer)

What if you hold the on button longer than 20seconds ?
If it doesn't work, you will have to find someone to do it via diagnostics. Find a Mercedes group Germany or some car groups Germany and ask who has Mercedes diagnostics/ Vediamo/ DTS Monaco. I'm sure you will find more information.
Ask your Mechanic ? - Any mechanics that strictly do Mercedes have the diagnostic tool.

I have been bothered for a few days, by wanting to connect the hard drive of the NTG2.5, I don't know what happened with my PC, but by reconnecting it to the NTG2.5, the Music Register no longer displays the music and also other bugs, there were 7 Partitions named TFAT and a last one apparently unrecognized in Windows which appears to be a partition with a filesystem that Windows cannot handle, using testdisk it finds me in HPFS- NTFS, even by repairing the partition structure, the other 6 FAT32 partitions are of different size, the one which contains the maps is 27GB, the other 1.99GB, the one which contains the Music Register files is 3.99GB and Contains a Folder Music with renamed file names, I think the music file information database has been overwritten or other and must be registered in the last partition that Windows cannot manage or only manage by NTG2.5 (encrypted format? )
I would like to test a NTG2.5 HDD clone if available.
You can help me clone my disk or recreate the partitions.
It also seems to me the clone image requires a minimum Firmware of 09.29 and that you need the CD Iso A1718274159 telematic DISC01 / 2010 to update it in the Engineer Mode menu (Call-End + * + 6) and SW Update.

The firmware update procedure: need Firmware iso to burn it and update

1) Download and unzip attached file, there should be an image file: A1718274559.ISO
2) Burn this ISO file to a CD or DVD empty DISC (I use CD), use minimum speed.
3) Eject all the CD or DVD in your NTG2.5
4) Insert this DISC that you just burned into NTG2.5
5) Enter to engineering menu
6) Choose SW update

Then I could clone the 1: 1 disk image with HDClone Software apparently or Acronis True Image (Not sure it makes an identical copy Cluster by Cluster and other information)
Not having Linux at the moment, and in case I install Ubuntu on a PC to perform Cloning.
I would like someone to help me, even if I am already well advanced in my research, it would also allow me to participate in this forum and to put in my turn the Complete Tutorial and the Clone images that I would put on MEGA or other so that you too can solve this operation yourself in case one day the hard disk becomes defective.

-PS: If you have old firmware and maps, older maps wont work with new firmware.
I can provide you Europe maps that will work ( but you will have to take the ntg 2.5 unit out of the car and you need an IDE to usb connector.

This sounds great - I have an NTG2.5 with original firmware in my 2008 CLC 220, and now have the latest version of the maps DVDs, so as I understand it I just need to upgrade the firmware. Can this be done with an SD card without removing the unit from the car? Thanks

Sorry to be a pain, but i am still struggling with my comand unit in my mb 2008 b klass cdi180. I disconnected the battery for approximately an hour, which it was said meant to reset the unit, no luck. any more ideas would be welcome. Ive lost the phone and bluetooth components

In my engineering mode, there is no software update labels so how do i update the unit?

Hello. The update I had done for my fw09/29 did not give me a backup camera. So I redid an update with the Mocab180 link and copy the files to the sd card (fat32). I redid an update and I was able to have the reversing camera. I went with XENTRY in developer mode to re-enable fader and gps eco. On the other hand, can the DAB radio be installed on my comand code 527? thank you
