Hi, any ideas on who could sort out the faded stripe shaped area of the back windscreen panel of my SLK (2010) ? I thought it was a dirty mark but it's actually some coating or paint that has worn off, I'm not sure. I only recently bought the car and unfortunately hadn't spotted it at the time. Can it be repaired and what kind of specialist would do it? Ideas of cost would help too. I've attached a photo

Welcome to you. Unfortunately this is an issue that's coming up on later models. I think people are just painting them but I would recommend using search and seeing if there's any other options. Pain in the arse isn't it.

Thanks, profile updated😊.

Well I did some research. One bodyshop quoted me £190 to replace both trims with new ones. Another quoted £200 just to paint the existing ones with high gloss paint. I've plumped for a third quote to get them wrapped which I've been told is a much longer lasting solution at just £100 from a specialist.
