I want to replace my "painted & Wood" Shifter for an ALL WOOD shifter.

What is the "color" or pattern of the wood I should be looking for "For example "Birds eye maple", "zebrano, etc.)

THANKS FOLKS !

Calyptus is the stock wood grain/color in the SLK 320 and you should be able to find a matching shifter online at m y m e r c e d e s . c o m / m y r o a d s t e r . n e t. Burlwood would be your second option, although I don't recommend it if you can find the Calyptus.

Be careful though, since certain manufacturers sell items that may differ slightly in color depth or grain pattern. I have a center aftermarket armrest in Calyptus and matching anthracite leather, and while it looks great, the grain and color is a bit different than the rest of the car.

Also installed were calyptus wood trim pieces for the left and right vents (see my post with part numbers here: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r170-slk-class/1346739-ebay-r170-dash-trim-kits-any-good.html )
